Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 27.50 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 18 December, according to official data.
With a tenor of 91 days until 21 March 2023, the first issue stood at EGP 7.50 billion.
The second offering was valued at EGP 20 billion and will mature in 273 days on 19 September next year.
On 15 December, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 26 billion through two auctions.
